Our institute is strongly competitive and distinctive in the respect of research and talent cultivation on developing curriculum standards of elementary education, textbook compilation and teaching, and examination evaluation. Our institute is outstanding in the respect of evaluation of discipline core literacy and have greatly influenced the community of elementary eduction. We deeply cooperate with educational bureaus, research institutes of educational science, and regular senior high schools in the cities of Guangdong, Hunan, Jiangxi, Hubei, Henan, Guangxi, Beijing, and Hebei in the respect of evaluation of discipline core literacy, and greatly influenced the promotion of the quality of teaching, and built firm grounds for the development and recruitment of students.
The institute has core members of the new round revision group of curriculum standards for compulsory education, regular senior high school and secondary vocational education of the Ministry of Education, and the chief editor of the national unified textbooks. The institute has core members of the College Entrance Examination Evaluation System Research Project of Ministry of Education, and core members of the High School Discipline Core Literacy Test Group of Ministry of Education.
Our high-level talent cultivation is based on the Institute for Science, Technology and Society, integrating the superior educational resource of the Department of Psychology, the Department of Education, and departments of science and engeneering of our university.

Feature One. The curriculum and training methods are designed closely around the teaching and evaluation of discipline core literacy, with strong pertinence. Based on the talent needs of elementary education of the Greater Bay Area and the Pearl River Delta and Guangdong Province, we offer two directions in the program.
Direction One: STEAM Eduction in Primary and Secondary Cchools and Science and Technology Innovation Literacy. This direction cultivates teachers of primary and secondary schools, secondary vocational schools, and science and technology venues on the diciplines of material sciences, life sciences, computer sciences and of science and technology contests.
Direction Two: Evaluation of Core Literacy of Basic Education. This direction cultivates talents of teaching evalution in research institutes of educational science. It also aims to promote the evaluation literacy of teachers in primary and secondary schools.
